Health Care Now―Political Action Page

Once upon a time over seventy percent of Americans wanted universal single-payer health care. Over 85% of physicians and nurses wanted the same. Our president had promised Universal Health Care for Everyone!

The only people who did not want health care for everyone were those who were making piles of gold selling substandard health care.

When their piles of gold became threatened by Universal Health Care, the wealthy care providers started a campaign of lies, attacking Universal Health Care, and sure enough, thirty percent of the population, the morons, started repeating these lies.

This is where America is today.

The ONLY objections to health care are coming directly from those who stand to lose TRILLION$ of DOLLAR$, and they are supported by an opposition who want Obama to fail and are willing to engage in intellectual political terrorism to do it. (The same opposition that spent over 80 million dollars to investigate a president's sex life, and then spent less than 4 million dollars to investigate 9-11).

It is time to fight back.

Calls and emails are no longer cutting it. We must fill up our representatives’ offices with paper and make them run out of toner: Let them know that we will not accept anything less than Medicare for All.

Kill a Million Trees

Fax your reps and tell them that if they can’t get Universal Health Care passed, then they should be tossed out of office. The last election was a mandate for change. The next election can extend that mandate.

Physicians right now are no longer calling it: Single-Payer, but rather: Medicare for All. Any bill calling for Medicare for All will be very simple; just a few short sentences.

The opposition cares nothing for health care; all they care about is making Obama and the democrats to fail. It’s entirely political.

They are playing politics with YOUR lives.

Don’t let any arguments about health care slow you down.

Talking points:

At 3% administrative cost, Medicare (which would be made universal under Single-payer) is highly efficient compared to the 15-30% administrative costs of for-profit insurance.
Medicare works, it’s ready to go.
Non profit health care will allow science to investigate unprofitable cures.

The US is the only industrial democracy that does not guarantee every citizen health care. Compared to other nations, America has the best medical technology but poor access to medical treatment. Single-payer will correct this scandal.
Americans pay more for health care already than they pay for food and housing.
Every thirty seconds an American family files bankruptcy over health care bills.
Single-payer will boost the ailing US economy and provide relief for businesses large and small, since it will cancel the high expense and administrative burden of employer-based health care benefits ( http://www.gp.org/press/pr-national.php?ID=158 ).
Single-payer will relieve municipalities and school boards from having to bear the cost of providing health insurance to employees, allowing responsible officials to reduce their budgets and lower local property taxes.
Single-payer gives government (and therefore taxpayers) a stake in preventive medicine and promotion of good health habits to keep costs down.
