Begun in Switzerland and outlawed in the US (5000 therapists use it in Germany), clinical evidence and testimonials abound on the regeneration properties of this therapy. Cancer is, among other things, due to DNA damage. When a cell dies (happens all the time—the lining inside your mouth replaces itself every day, your liver replaces itself ever six weeks), the new cell that grows to replace the dead cell is a duplicate of the dead cell because the DNA is passed on to the new cell. However, in cancer, the DNA has gone wild and creates an entirely new cell. Cellular changes are brought about by toxins, alcohol, smoke, malnutrition, free radicals, and the aging process. In Live Cell Therapy DNA from animal fetuses (in the form of thymus extracts, Resomillan® [spleen extract] , and other forms) is injected. Pill forms have been created, though we have yet to learn of the clinical effectiveness. According to its proponents, live cell therapy helps organs regenerate, improves hormonal response in the thyroid, testes, ovaries, adrenals, pancreas, pituitary gland, and hypothalmus (they claim), revitalizes skin, muscles, bones, brains, heart and lungs, and enhances immune system response. The pill form is available through the mail, though again, the pill form has not yet proven itself effective. Live Cell Therapy will never be available in the US (unless you do something) because it is not patentable. This therapy is available in Mexico and Canada.
TopLow Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Naltrexone is a drug that originally used to help stop cravings in alcoholics. In a regular dose of Naltrexone, endorphins are released. These "feel good" hormones help alcholics overcome their cravings. Endorphins also regulate the immune system and regulate the growth of some cancers. It was discovered almost accidentally that low doses of Naltrexone, can help tumors shrink.
Our original report on LDN spoke of "cures" for cancers. However, that was a bit of an exaggeration. What researchers are now finding that tumors shrink in quite a few cases. A few go into remission. They also found that tumors start to come back when the patient stops the LDN treatments. When LDN is started again, the tumors again begin to shrink and metastases are inhibited.
This being the case, physicians have developed a third model in cancer treatment: long term cancer stabilization.
This isn't entirely a new approach. I've interviewed a physician in Israel who taught his patients to live with cancer. They developed new life styles and outlived, on the average, those who opted for chemo and/or radiation.
With LDN, tumors shrink and and stabilize. Remission might be a possibility, but lives are returned to normal. The best news is that this works for those who've flunked chemo and radiation.
One of the problems with seeking alternatives is that most do it after flunking out of chemo or radiation, or they've just had enough suffering. But now they bring an extra problem to their new therapist. Now that therapist not only has to deal with that patient's cancer, there's an immune system the therapist has to help heal.
Now, with long term stabilization possible, in 65% of cases, LDN shows a lot of promise in keeping people alive long enough to rebuild their immune systems and try complementary treatments that were, in the past, not very successful with those who had used chemotherapy or radiation in the past.
Take the work of Dr Ozell from Turkey. He realized upwards of a 70% success rate in fighting cancers using a water extract of the Nerium Oleander plant. However, he found that for those who had done treatments using chemotherapy or radiation, their chances of recovery were about thirty percent.
Incorporating a long term recovery using LDN might increase the odds of complete recovery in those would eventually try the Oleander once their immune systems have had time to recover. Sadly, we've not found any studies of people using LDN who've gone on to other complementary approaches.
Though, to be certain, people using LDN report a higher quality of life, no side effects. The only problem with this is that now medicine wants to use more chemotherapy and radiation along with LDN. Go figger.
In large dosages, Naltrexone can damage the liver, however, for cancer therapy, only 3 mg are given at bedtime. At this dosage Naltrexone is nontoxic with no side effects.
Increasing the body's endorphins also activates the immune system's natural killer cells which protects the body against new cancers and keeps malignant cells from metastasizing. Since of Dec, 1999, Dr Bihari, who has a private practice in Manhattan, has been helping to restore natural immune defenses that have been damaged through chemotherapy and radiation.
(2/3/2001): Dr. Bihari is in frequent conversation with the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda and is shipping them detailed summaries and materials (CT scans, MRI's, X-rays, and original pathology slides) on over a dozen patients with marked regressions and/or remissions in a variety of advanced cancers that had failed other therapies but that clearly responded to Low Dose Naltrexone. (2/13/2001): Dr Bihari has responded to a few questions that we will point out here: LDN is and has been used in conjunction with standard treatments, and has been used as the sole treatment. However, they've had some good results using LDN in conjunction with chemotherapy to avoid some of the side effects of chemotherapy.
From his site, we get the following side note: Hypericin and LDN for Hepatitis C : Over 60 patients have been successfully treated for hepatitis C in Dr. Bihari's practice. In a study of St. John's Wort in 15 patients with HIV in 1990, he had accidentally discovered a significant benefit to liver function in two patients with hepatitis B (whereas there was no improvement in HIV markers). Bihari then began to use St. John's Wort in his private practice to treat hepatitis B and hepatitis C - patients with the former responded well, the latter not at all. Since 1995, Dr. Bihari has been able to use a very highly concentrated form of hypericin, the active ingredient found in St. John's Wort, called HY2 [manufactured by Pacific Biologic in Clayton, CA; 800-869-8783] in the treatment of people with hepatitis C. It is given along with LDN, to enhance the immune response, and in many cases with ribavirin, an antiviral.
There are three possible mechanisms by which low dose Naltrexone (LDN) might exert its effects on tumor growth:
- by inducing an increase in metenkephalin (an endorphin produced in large amounts in the adrenal medulla) and beta endorphin in the body;
- by increasing the number and density of opiate receptors on the tumor cell membranes, thus making them more responsive endorphins mentioned in 1;
- by increasing the natural killer (NK) cell numbers and NK cell activity and CD8 numbers
The cancers Dr Bihari has found that respond to LDN are, Pancreatic Cancer, Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Multiple Myeloma, Malignant Melanoma, Ovarian Cancer, Lymphocytic Leukemia, Colon and Rectal Cancers, Neuroblastoma, Carcinoid, and both Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Other diseases for which LDN has shown beneficial effects: Behcet's Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, HIV/AIDS, Multiple Sclerosis, Psoriasis, Hepatitis C, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Systemic Lupus.
We've been informed by a handful of people with MS that LDN has made their lives livable.
Now, here's the funny part. Naltrexone is an FDA approved drug that has passed all its toxicity tests, etc., etc.; but has not been approved for cancer therapy, or any of the other disorders listed above.
Big deal. It is perfectly legal and ethical for a physician to prescribe LDNfor your cancer, MS, or Lupus. A Medical Doctor's license allows a physician to prescribe anything s/he thinks will help the patient.
To get LDN therapy, go to your doctor, ask him to prescribe 3 mg at bedtime, and that's it. It can't hurt you. And it might just make you live longer than you would have gotten without it. The price is quite affordable.

Magnetic and Low Voltage Electrical Therapies
Used throughout America by veterinarians and in Europe by alternative health care professionals, but pooh-poohed by the established medical community here, magnetic therapy and low voltage electrical therapy (micro-frequencies) have shown to help stubborn fractures heal, mainly in the elderly.

This is a patented substance derived from a mixture of rice bran and mushroom extracts, substances already proven to be immunosupportive. Six years of research show that MGN-3 boosts the activity of both T and B lymphocytes which play a major role in overall immune response, in addition to protecting the body from antigens such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi. They also destroy cancer cells. Additionally, MGN-3 increases the production of interferon and TNF (tumor necrosis factor) and stimulates NK cell (Natural Killer cell) activity. NK cells target viruses and tumors. One study showed that, using the highest dose of three grams (for a 150 pound individual) per day, NK cell activity increased 800% after just one week, and at the end of the test, just two months, NK cell activity was 27 times greater.

We must point out that numbers such as these (reported in 1998 in the International Journal of Immunotherapy and at the 87th annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research) were unprecedented at that time. MGN-3 was the the most powerful immune system booster at that time. Certain mushrooms and intrinsic factors (10/10/2001) are proving to be even stronger immunostimulants.
Cancer tries to hide from the immune system using a veritable repertoire of tricks and disguises. However, cancer cannot hide from an immune system charged with MGN-3. Dr Mamdooh Ghoneum, the physician created MGN-3 and who has been studying MGN-3 for over six years, reports to have the first documented cure for multiple myeloma using MGN-3 only, in addition to complete remission in four other individuals having breast, prostate, and ovarian cancers.
Other things that have responded quite dramatically to the use of MGN-3 are advanced cervical dysplasia, Hepatitis B and C, and though not a cure for AIDS, HIV replication is inhibited and immune function has increased using MGN-3.
MGN-3 is also touted as an adjunct to chemotherapy, as side-effects are minimized and immunosuppression due to chemotherapy is reduced.
MGN-3 produces no side effects, aids in battling tumors and viruses, is a near perfect preventative and restorative, and costs about $60 for a bottle of fifty, 250 mg capsules.
Funny how old research gets lost and forgotten. We've just run across some old research on MSM, a form of nutritional sulfur, that piqued our interest. Currently MSM is being widely used by people suffering from arthritis. It supports connective tissue, and results (lower pain, increased movement) appear quickly. The reason we mention it here is that it was discovered in the fifties that MSM tends to turn malignant tumors into benign tumors. And then the research stopped. Why? MSM is cheap (if purchased in bulk, even cheaper) and cannot be patented.
Additionally, MSM helps the body maintain a proper pH. Cancer, in most cases, likes an acidic environment. And MSM is needed to detoxify the body. Since the advent of inorganic fertilizers, our bodies are not getting enough nutritional sulfur.

Mushrooms - AHCC
You should all know by now how important NK (natural killer) cells are in your fight against cancer. MGN-3 and ABM Mushroom mushrooms are among my personal favorites for boosting NK activity. Now there is another mushroom product, called the AHCC (activatied hexose correlate compound) fights both cancer and the side effects of chemotherapy.
AHCC is an extract of an hybridization of several medical mushrooms, each of which has a long history of medicinal use in Japan. However, AHCC's action is so much more powerful than the mushrooms from which it comes, that studies show it has been effective against liver cancer, prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, multiple myeloma, breast cancer, and AIDS.
It is suggested that AHCC is successful because of its molecular weight. It is so small that it is easily absorbed in the stomach instead of digested. Studies published in Society of Natural Immunity [1997], Anti-Cancer Drugs [vol. 9, pp.343-350, 1998], and International Journal of Immunology [XI (1), pp. 23-28, 1995] show that AHCC boosts immune response in the following ways:
- stimulates cytokine production
- increases NK cell activity as much as 300% as well as increasing the explosive granules inside the NK cell
- increases interferon levels (editor's note: if you get interferon from your physician you know that if the cost doesn't kill you, the side effects might)
- increases formation of Tumor Necrosis Factor (which destroy cancer cells)
- Increases the number and activity of helper T-Cells up to 200%
Some users swear that AHHC gives them more energy to get through the day. And again, and probably most important, there are no side effects.

Other mushrooms that can battle cancer are the shitake, reishi, and maitake mushrooms. The extracts are much more powerful than the actual mushroom, but if you grow your own and eat them daily, you are supercharging your immune system. Neem is a panacea along the lines of the Aloe Vera plant. Neem preparations have been found in clay pots dating back some 5000 years. It is said to have been used medicinally for over 60 maladies for centuries. Modern scientific studies have demonstrated the healing powers of neem.

Hi! I am an ayurvedic doctor working at A.I.I.M.S , New Delhi as a research
fellow in breast cancer clinic. We are using neem very extensively in our wound
clinic and have recently started its use in breast cancer clinic. I am very much
impressed/convinced by the medicinal properties of neem in curing cancer (as
studied in ayurvedic treatises like charakh samhita, sushruta samhita etc.). I
recommend my patients who are suffering from breast cancer and gastrointestinal
cancer to chew 8-10 neem leaves early in the morning with lukewarm water on an
empty stomach. I have observed that their white blood cells count had increased
considerably. Neem being a depurative purifies the blood and being an astringent

taking chemotherapy causes lots of side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea,
loss of appetite, alopecia and fever. It is very painful also and most important
aspect is the cost factor which sometimes makes the patient think twice whether
to go for it or not. I am planning to suggest/convince my patients to adapt neem
as a primary treatment and to continue with chemotherapy if he/she likes. I

Historically, neem preparations have been used for centuries in South East Asia to reduce tumors. Noni (Morinda Citrifolia)
We've known about Noni for some time now; however, we discovered that liquid Noni must be pasteurized (heat processed) before it can be shipped from Hawaii, and that sugars and juices are added to make it more palatable (people walking by a Noni plant ripe with the fruit claim it smells like doggy-doo). Its taste and smell are so terrible that even researchers refused to drink it, thus the addition of sugar. Noni must be taken on an empty stomach because stomach acid destroys its properties. Now, with that out of the way, I can tell you that we've received three reports from our readers (who asked for the formula) who tell us that they are making this formula and that it seems to be working, though it is still too early to tell. They do tell us that those using it feel better and have extra energy. The original person sending us the formula (which came to him from the originator of Anvirzel, Dr Ozelle) tells us that his Mother is cancer free and five months past being told she had only three months to live (with lung cancer and mets to bones). Her last bone scan was negative. His sister, who has Hep-C, now has a functioning liver and no symptoms now because of this formula. She makes it up herself from her own plants.
The Formula
1. Use garden hand trimmers to trim oleander new growth stems and leaves 6" from tip. Any part of the plant can be used, but trimming the new growth 6 to 8 inches from the tips will ensure that the plant lives. However, you can just use the entire plant.
Put the cuttings in a plastic shopping bag. Avoid touching cut ends, use gloves, as the sap will penetrate skin and is toxic.
2. Use a Wal*Mart large porcelain steam pot into which you stuff the trimmings to 2" from top. This is the same kind of pot used for making jellies and canning. Fill with water to top of trimmings.
3. Boil with lid on for 3.5 hours.
4. Remove plant material with tongs and discard.
5. Volume remaining is about 60% of original liquid.
6. Boil this for about 2 hours, reducing 50%, to about 30% of original liquid. Let cool to room temp. This liquid is about 1010 specific gravity as Ozelle recommends.
7. Strain remainder through 4 layers of paper towels using colanders, again Wal*Mart, the plastic .99 ones work great. Stack one on top of another with a towel in each. The top towel may plug and need to be replaced. Strain into a 1/2 gal. container.
8. Mix remainder with 80 proof vodka, 50/50 as a preservative, extending shelf life by at least 6 months. Add a pint of your favorite pancake syrup, mine is boysenberry, for flavoring, mixing all up.
9. Pour into 20 oz plastic or glass bottles and refrigerate. That's it! (Personally, I prefer brown glass bottles, as this protects most liquids.)
10. For skin cream, slowly boil the original brew down to a syrup, leaving about 1/2" of extract in bottom of stew pan. Takes about 2 hours. Mix 30% with any hand cream. That's that. Gets rid or pre-cancerous skin cells, age spots, moles, and psoriasis.
Note that because of bacteria, you can get a headache from the formula.
Treatment Dosage: 1 Tablespoon 3 x daily with meals. More is not harmful, but increases diarrhea. Take Immodium™ to offset effect. Take this dosage until it no longer produces a fever. And help the fever by taking liquids, perhaps a Raspberry Leaf Tea and a hot bath.
Prevention/Maintenance Dosage: 1 regular dose daily (one Tablespoon) forever. It's easy to make, costs almost nothing (if you live in the south), and knocks the crap out of any virus or cell proliferating disease, while boosting the immune system at the same time. How can you lose?

Omega-3 Oils (Essential Fatty Acids)
Dr Johanna Budwig writes books and travels the world over lecturing on the benefits of flaxseed oil and, at the same time, deriding the "pseudo" fats the food industry loves so much: hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated. She enjoys pointing out that these "pseudo" fats are not water soluble and, in addition to causing a host of problems, end up binding with muscle tissue (especially in the heart) as fatty deposits. They end up blocking circulation, damage heart action, inhibit cell renewal and impede the flow of blood and lymph fluids. Our bodies show a measurable loss of electrical energy which is replenished only by adding active lipids (fats) to the diet.
So, she has come up with a formula that not only replenishes the entire system improving circulation as well as immune functions, but also prevents and fights cancer. It is a very simple formula based upon the fact that lipids are water-soluble and free-flowing when bound to protein.

Donsbach writes some very interesting (and inexpensive) little booklets. In his book, Oxygen, Oxygen, Oxygen, he states:
| Many factors are involved in causing oxygen depletion. One of the most overlooked is the fact that a few hundred years ago the oxygen content of our atmosphere was about 35%—today it is about 19%. We have had an almost 50% decrease in the available oxygen in the air around us! |
We thought we'd check out this (supposed) fact, and nothing we found shows there was ever 35% oxygen in the atmosphere, and calls to the U of Minn resulted in one professor stating that, yes, there has been a decrease in the amount of oxygen available, but the most it has ever been is 21%.
Now there are other factors in our bodies' oxygen depletion that are extremely important: lack of minerals such as iron and copper deficiencies, poor diets, fluoridated drinking water, infections, shallow breathing patterns, and mental attitudes. And as Dr Donsbach explains, the addition of oxygen to his patients has so impressed him, that though he may use different therapies for different cancers, oxygen therapy is the one they all get.
Cancer hates oxygen. Cancer metabolizes anaerobically through fermentation. The addition of oxygen inhibits its spread and eventually kills cancer cells. At the Donsbach clinic (in Mexico—this is illegal in the US), he employs infusions of a mixture of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide and DMSO.

Additionally, you can get oxygen therapy in a number of ways: drinking a weak mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water (Donsbach recommends his Magnesium Dioxide which—we've tried it—is quite palatable), bathing in a solution of 8 oz 35% hydrogen peroxide to a filled bathtub, and one ounce of 35% to a gallon of water in a humidifier.
Additionally, some clinics use hyperbaric oxygen chambers, and we found one clinic that, while using this method with elderly cancer patients, suddenly discovered that those who had also suffered strokes were improving so much that now all they do is work with hyperbaric oxygen and stroke victims. Cancer Centers.)To add a boost to oxygen therapy, supplements of Garlic and DMG are often used, as well as germanium.

Pau D'arco/Taheebo Tea
Pau D'arco is a tea from a tree (Lapacho) in the rapidly diminishing rain forests of South America. It has been used for centuries to prevent and battle cancer. The naturopathic physician Manuel Cordova (1887-1978) used it extensively to battle cancer in cases where modern medicine had failed. It can be found in many health food stores, but the teas can be quite weak and it is best to take it in all its forms: tea, decoction, and tincture.

TopPaw Paw is a tree that grows extensively in the Ohio valley. Its fruit is nutritious and delicious, or so I am told. There is even a Pawpaw Festival in Ohio that you may attend, if it suits you. According to fred.net, the plant can be found from as far north as Ontario to as far south as Florida.
Paw Paw is related to Graviola. Dr Jerry McLaughlin, who has researched the plant and tested it in human studies feels that it is a more powerful anti-cancer agent than its cousin, Graviola.

It might be over your head. It was mine, at first. However, I can tell you in a very oversimplified summary how Paw Paw fights cancer.
All chemical reactions in the body work towards one goal: to provide energy. This is it. We need energy to survive. The final step in all biological/biochemical processes it to make ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the result is energy and water. When you work out, you expend energy and you sweat: energy and water. What Paw Paw does is this: it allows the energy to be produced, but the water is slightly changed. Instead of H2O you get H2O2, or hydrogen peroxide.
Hydrogen peroxide is one of the Oxygen Therapies. Cancer cannot live in an oxygen rich environment, and hydrogen peroxide, by the was, is created by our own immune cells to fight pathogens:

Funny how we find out about these things. I was visiting a friend, a healer, and as I was leaving, he handed me an audio tape for my trip home. I hopped in the car, tossed in the tape and drove. The tape was simply two researchers from Harvard who had found a nontoxic method of reversing cancer in just four days.
There is a company called Light Force that sells spirulina (algae). At one point, Dr Christopher Hills developed a new Light Force product by extracting some seventeen carotenoids from algae (Spirulina and Dunaliella), and he called it Phycotene.
I'm sure you've all heard how beta carotene can protect you from cancer. Well, it seems that Phycotene can not only prevent cancer, but in this one study, it reversed cancer. Dr Joel Schwartz, one of the researchers on the tape I listened to, actually stated that he was convinced that they had found, at least, a substance that could cure 100% of all hamster cancers.
We don't know what it can do in humans because like most studies on nontoxic, non-patentable, natural substances, no one has the money or interest to back a study on humans. There is no profit in it. However, can we extrapolate from these hamster experiments that the product might/can help cure human cancers? Not if you are a distributor of the product.
But I can.
This three year study began in 1984 at the Harvard University's Department of Oral Pathology and was conducted by Dr Joel Schwartz and Dr Gerald Shklar.
If you've ever owned a hamster, you know about it's facial pockets in which it can store food. These pockets are perfect for studying oral cancers. The two doctors painted the inner lining of the hamster pockets with a powerful carcinogen and were able to produce some very healthy tumors. During the study they wanted to determine if chemotherapy would be a good preventative, so they put their little subjects on methotrexate and painted their pockets with the carcinogen. The methotrexate not only did not prevent the tumors, it made the tumors more numerous and still larger. Their office suddenly became famous for producing some of the worst tumors at Harvard. They realized quickly that chemotherapy is not a good preventative because it destroys the immune system allowing tumors to grow unchecked (this is just too obvious, as one of the side effects of most chemotherapies is "decreased resistance to infection").
They experimented with all sorts of carotenoids and got some impressive results. But when they attacked the tumors with Phycotene they were absolutely amazed that the most ungainly of tumors would regress in just four days. They could not believe their own eyes, and had to call in colleagues to witness this dramatic effect.
Several firsts were achieved in this research:
1. For the first time, researchers discovered a non-toxic
substance that destroyed cancer tumor cells and totally regressed large cancer
tumors without any harmful side effects to normal healthy cells.
2. This is the first time that we have seen complete regression of induced
cancer tumors in hamsters without toxicity to normal cells The hamster cheek
pouch model (used in the Harvard research) acts similarly to human squamous cell
carcinoma and has the same oncogene which makes this model very close to the
human and very promising.
3. These are the first scientific laboratory and animal studies that are
consistent with large-scale human population studies which show that diets high
in beta-carotene and other carotenes may lead to reduced cancer risks. As a
result, the American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute and the
National Research Council recommend increasing the levels of carotene in our
diet.
4. This is the first time we have evidence of a natural substance that activates
the body's own lnterleukin system, enhances the immune system and triggers the
white blood cell macrophages to produce enough tumor necrosis factor-alpha to
specifically target and kill cancer cells without killing normal cells or
producing side effects

Beyond Castor Oil Packs, we have poultices, probably as old as medicine itself. They go back so far no one knows where they started. Old wives tales? Did your grandmother use a poultice ever?

12 lg. Peeled Garlic Cloves
1/3 cup Dried Pwd Poke Root

1 Cup Bentonite Clay
1 Cup Slippery elm inner bark
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar

Dr Schulze in his Save Your Life Video Series shows a very graphic example of a poultice pulling out a very ugly tumor from a woman's breast. It is not to be viewed by the squeamish.
The person writing to me stated:

Now keep in mind that the bloodroot paste is being used (at this site) with Pancreatic Enzyme Therapy. All the patients are taking pancreatic enzymes along with the bloodroot.
At the Cansema Site, where they make the Cansema Black Topical Salve, they do not recommend bloodroot for skin cancers (their bloodroot salve is used for moles and warts). However, they also do not mention anything about Enzyme Therapy.

Quercetin - The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota tested Quercetin. “Our laboratory results showed quercetin blocks the hormone activity in androgen-responsive human prostate cancer cell lines,” said Nianzeng Xing, a Mayo researcher who presented his findings at the recent meeting in New Orleans of the American Association for Cancer Research. “By blocking the androgen activity, the growth of prostate cancer cells can be prevented or stopped,” he said. “Our study suggests quercetin may be a non-hormonal approach to accomplish that goal.”
Reishi (Ganodema Lucidum) - Long a remedy in Oriental folklore for cancer of all kinds, Reishi contains numerous glycans, three of which have significant antitumor activity against sarcoma. Proteins isolated from this herb exhibit immunomodulatory activity.
Baikal Scullcap (Scutellaria Baicalensis) - One of the flavonoids, Scullcap contains ingredients which are antiproliferative and anti-inflammatory. Lab results indicate stimulation of apoptosis and antimutagenic activity.
Rabdosia (Rabdosia Rubescens Hara) - Reported to have an anti-cancer function for prostate cancer, as well as, esophageal, liver and breast cancer.

Saw Palmetto (Serenoa Repens) - Contains phytoestrogens which lower endogenous androgens in host animals. The lipid/sterol complex inhibits proliferation of benign and cancerous prostate cells.
San-Qi Ginseng (Panax Notoginseng) - Regular use of this herb lowers the incidence of cancer and suppresses proliferation of different tumor types.
Licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra L.) - Known mostly for its anti-mutagenic, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects, this herb also has specific cytotoxic activity (kills cancer cells).

Protomorphogens (PMGs)
According to Dr West, in his wonderful newsletter Health Alert (Nov 2000, 17:11), "Protomorphogens are the tiniest specks of life made specifically by your body for each kind of tissue and are necessary for the control factors involved in disease."
We've heard of these before, but it wasn't until we read Dr West's take on them did we finally understand their function in helping the body to repair itself.
Modern medicine does not cure cancer. It eliminates (if it can) the problem giving us time to go heal the actual problem. Removing a tumor does not get to the root cause. But it does "buy" us time.
Here is the theory: when an organ develops cancer, the PMG "blueprint" is altered. Cell reproduction goes uncontrolled. Dr Royal Lee, the founder of Standard Process Labs in Wisconsin (they sell only to Health Care Professionals) patented over 75 PMGs from animal tissue (animals raised organically). In early studies, it was shown that taking PMGs orally (the specific organ PMGs for a specific cancer) initiated a healing of that organ.
Any dietary therapy must contain PMGs and eliminate sugars (or to be more specific, all processed foods). If you've been paying attention at this web site and have spent some time reading the immune system articles, then you know already that mushrooms enhance immune response. PSK is a mushroom extract that contains complex polysaccharides (like Anvirzel, above) that have demonstrated powerful anticancer activity in over 20 years of clinical use in Japan. This is a bioflavonoid found in the skin of dark grapes. It is thought that Resveratrol is responsible for the French Paradox: the French diet is a high fat diet, yet they have the lowest incidence of heart disease among all nations. Why? Because the French drink wine with meals. Red wines contain a high concentration of resveratrol.
In studies conducted at the College of Pharmacy at the UIC campus it was discovered that resveratrol might prevent cancer (Jang, M., Cai, L., Udeani, G.O., Slowing, K.V., Thomas, C.F., Beecher, C.W.W., Fong, H.H.S., Farnsworth, N.R., Kinghorn, A.D., Mehta, R.G., Moon, R.C. and Pezzuto, J.M. Science volume 10:218-221, 1997). In a current study, they were able to show that resveratrol was effective during all three phases of the cancer process: initiation, promotion and progression. In one controlled study performed on mice, it was found that resveratrol reduced the number of skin-cancer tumors up to 98%. In one more study, Resveratrol was added to a test tube of human leukemia cells and it stopped the production of abnormal cells; it turned cancer cells into normal cells.
Resveratrol inhibits the body's production of the COX (cycoloxygenase) enzyme. This enzyme stimulates tumor growth and suppresses the immune system. By reducing COX, resveratrol halts the chain reaction that allows cancer to spread throughout the body.
Resveratrol is available in health food stores, however, a Montreal-based pharmaceutical company has synthesized a pure form of trans-resveratrol, known by the brand name Resverin, and is currently being used in resveratrol studies sponsored by the U.S. National Cancer Institute. It is considered a dietary supplement, also available in health food stores in the U.S. and parts of Canada.
Food high in resveratrol are concord grapes (the wild form are even more potent), blueberries, and red grapes.
Radiofrequency of the Lung Tumor Ablation
Developed by Dr Patrick Sewell from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, this procedure could easily offer lung cancer patients a favorable alternative to traditional treatments and change the way lung cancer surgeries are performed worldwide.
A radiofrequency (hot) probe is inserted into tumors guided by CAT scan images. The procedure is less invasive than conventional surgery, allowing patients to recover quickly. Dr Sewell performed this procedure on 9 lung cancer patients (ranging in ages from 38 to 78) in China. None required general anesthesia. Five had primary tumors, two had primary lung tumors with metastasis, and two had metastasized cancer that had spread to the lung from other locations.
When the PET scans came back, all the tumors had been killed. The surprising thing was that the PET scans were conducted just 3 days after the final surgery.
Rhodiola Rosea & Rhododendron Caucasicum</
